Angela, When I was a little girl, I LOVED reading comics, and at some point I got into reading through volumes of old vintage Dick Tracey series. There was one, from the 40's, where Dick gets captured by the bad guys and is being held in their apartment. They have a piano, and Dick sits down to play a tune. Meanwhile (through a feat of multitasking), he uses his foot to tap out a message on the floor in Morse Code. The woman in the apartment downstairs is a war volunteer, and hears the morse code. She translates the message that Dick Tracey is in trouble, calls the police, and he is rescued. Seemed like a story you might like to know about.
